Vincent Pierce is a multi instrumentalist based in New Jersey, USA.
He received a degree in Music at Rutgers University (Mason Gross School of the Arts) and is currently employed there as an accompanist for Modern and African Dance. He has done many scores and live performances for theater and modern dance productions.
Vincent has toured with different groups since the age of 14. From 2005 to 2011 he toured extensively with “Natural Breakdown”. He plays national festivals in the United States, sharing stages with legendary acts.
Vincent has also traveled to India to study tabla with “tabla guru”, Pandit Divyang Vakil. Vincent currently works with the Taalim School of Indian Music in New Jersey, teaching tabla and drumset. In recent years he has worked to bring tabla strokes onto the cajon and has developed a unique style.
Vincent is now playing cajon and drumset with the world fusion group “Taan” and percussion with "The Do Rights".

I usually use a Sennheiser Bass drum mic and a Dynamic mic on the back hole. I then use a Beyer-dynamic Stereo condenser in the front to round out the sound.
