Florian Bronk

Flying Leaf is a young versatile percussionist.
Even though he had his first drumset lesson when he was just six years old, it was much later that he discovered his tremendous love for hand drums and various musical traditions of the world.
Within his work he is constantly trying to bridge the gap between deepening his knowledge in ancient music as well as keeping it alive but also presenting and reflecting the repertoire in a contemporary, more urban way.

he studied in private lessons and masterclasses with:
Trilok Gurtu, Hakim Ludin, Naná Vasconcelos, Pete Lockett, Guruprasanna, Mark Nauseef, John Santos, Toumani Diabaté, José Cortijo, Marcio Doctor and others..

and played in venues like:
Waldbühne Berlin, Elbjazz Festival Hamburg, Schleswig Holstein Musik Festival, Festival International de Hammamet Tunisia, Select City Walk New Delhi, Tamburi Mundi Frame Drum Festival Freiburg, Das Fest Karlsruhe, Bundeskunsthalle Bonn and many more..

FL studied "Jazz Percussion" at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg
